Looking around, it seemed that most of the reservable sites were similarly nice. The prices were some of the best we encountered on our entire maritime road trip, too.

This was our first stop on our NS vacation and we could have stayed here the whole time! Clean friendly camping with all the necessary amenities. The grounds is right on the Aspy river, and the views are breath taking! Witnessed an engagement during sunrise, and I'm sure it was perfect for them. A 12 km sandy beach is a 5 minute drive, and being at the tip of the trail you can go west or east to find hiking and great food stops, or stay in the grounds for fresh oysters and lobster caught daily. 5 stars all day.

The management / owners were excellent! A special thanks to Susan, in the office, who not only directed us to, but called and set up a meeting with, a local mechanic to look at a concern with our vehicle. This was well above and beyond our expectations.

Absolutely a must for a get away vacation with your family. We just wrapped up a stay at the farmhouse at Hideaway and had a flawless week our entire family will never forget. The property is clean and comfortable. The location could not be better for proximity to one of the best beaches in the province as far as we are concerned. The water is clean and the warmest we have ever encountered in Nova Scotia. The sand is powder soft and we pretty much had the beach to ourselves the entire week. This is no small beach I might add. We will definitely be booking again next year. Thank you Susan and Alex. Great job!!!

Definitely a great spot to camp along the Cabot trail.

We reserved an unserviced site, which was a reasonable size and fairly nicely wooded (we were able to string up a tarp over our tent). Washrooms, water stations, and dish-washing stations were within a minute's walk. The campground was nice and quiet in the evening / overnight, and the view was amazing.

Cabins, tent lots, RV lots, whatever your preference. Beautiful view of the Aspey mountains! With a gorgeous beach just around the corner (piping plovers live there). Ideal location if you want to explore the highland national park. Their showers are pretty great, and warm up super quick! The owners are very kind and have all sorts of information of things to do in the area :)

Stopped for oysters and was surprised to find them open on a thanksgiving Monday. Great fresh oysters. $2 per oyster. White wine available. Presentation is pretty basic but it’s is quaint and enjoyable.

Washrooms were clean, however be warned that showers do cost $1 / 5 minutes, which is a minor irritant.

There also appeared to be ample overflow space. If you end up in overflow space, don't worry: while you won't have trees, you'll probably have the best view in the place, looking over the cliff down at the water and across to the mountains.
